The Best Granola Recipe

Is there anything better than a sweet, crunchy granola packed full of amazing ingredients?? I didn’t think so…..

I don’t know what it is about granola but for some reason I have always struggled with either always burning it, having the wrong consistency or bland taste every time. However, I never give up so decided to get back in the kitchen and I HAVE FINALLY PERFECTED IT!

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t do a happy dance around my kitchen after trying this freshly baked granola! The taste is INCREDIBLE, it’s crunchy, clustered together and didn’t take long to make.

Now on to the recipe….because I know that’s why you are all here anyways…



  • 2.5 cups large flaked rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup coconut chips (shredded coconut works too)

  • 1/4 cup raw buckwheat groats

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • 1/4 cup hemp hearts

  • 1/4 cup cacao nibs

  • 1/2 cup chopped dates

  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup

  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter (can also use almond butter)

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Mix together all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl

  3. In a small separate bowl combine the peanut butter + coconut oil, melt together until soft

  4. Combine all of the remaining ingredients together and mix well until all of the dry ingredients are covered by the liquid

  5. Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper to avoid sticking

  6. Bake for 15 minutes

  7. Remove from the oven and DONT TOUCH IT! This is crucial to forming the “clusters”, as tempting as it is to eat it fresh from the oven, let it cool for 5-8 minutes on the baking sheet

  8. Break apart and store in a jar or container, stores in the fridge for a week or if your like me and eat it in about 2 days you can keep it in a jar on the counter.

  9. Use it to top smoothie bowls, smoothies, as a snack or dessert
